CAROL P DUHANEY ARTS AWARD 2024
'Carol P Duhaney Arts Award' is an annual arts competition and awards ceremony to promote and celebrate the work of local young artists, helping them to gain confidence and grow in their artistic experience.
The award is named after Carol who was a talented, award-winning artist and historian. She lived in Old Trafford, Manchester. She delivered art and history workshops and presentations and was passionate about spreading the joy of art.
Her artwork is unique and informed by the rich and vibrant Caribbean culture and her upbringing. She used watercolours, oils, ink and tissue paper. She also used recycled boxes, fabrics and newspapers.
Are you 18 years and under and enjoy drawing and painting? If so, it is never too early to start planning and preparing your artwork. Your artwork can be in any style or subject matter.
There are two dates when you will be able to deliver your artwork (with a short paragraph about your art) in person:
Saturday 20 July 2024 at Stretford Library, Stretford M32 8AP (10.30 - 12.00 MIDDAY)
and
Saturday 27 July 2024 at Sale Library, Sale Waterside M33 7ZF (10.30 - 12.00 MIDDAY)
