CAROL P DUHANEY ARTS AWARD 2024  

'Carol P Duhaney Arts Award' is an annual arts competition and awards ceremony to promote and celebrate the work of local young artists, helping them to gain confidence and grow in their artistic experience.

The award is named after Carol who was a talented, award-winning artist and historian.  She lived in Old Trafford, Manchester.  She delivered art and history workshops and presentations and was passionate about spreading the joy of art.

Her artwork is unique and informed by the rich and vibrant Caribbean culture and her upbringing.   She used watercolours, oils, ink and tissue paper.  She also used recycled boxes, fabrics and newspapers.

Thank you to all who attended the wonderful arts award ceremony.  This year the ceremony was supported by Arawak Housing Association - thank you for attending the event. 

We exhibited wonderful artwork from our creative and talented young people - 18 years and under.
