About Us
Education2Realisation was established in 2014 and works with young people and families to help educate, empower and motivate.
We provide homework support, coaching, mentoring and activities to raise the aspirational achievements of young people and adults, maximise educational potential and support mental health and wellbeing.
Culture improves and enriches the lives of our communities. We work to increase cultural awareness e.g. art and history events.
We showcase talent within the African, Caribbean and wider community, support and build community cohesion.
11 October 2024 - Black Girl Day Off
Black Girl Day off is observed every October 11 annually in the United States. It is a day dedicated to encouraging black women to take a mental day off to focus on their emotional well-being. This day was developed to encourage black people to get involved in their health. Millions of individuals throughout the world suffer from mental health concerns, ranging from depression and anxiety disorders. Mental health is one of he most neglected aspect of health in the world today.
Black History Month 2024
The theme for Black History Month in the UK is "Reclaiming Narratives." This theme aims to challenge the limited or distorted perspectives that have often been used to tell Black history. It encourages Black communities, scholars and activists to take ownership of their stories and ensure that their voices are heard.
The theme of "Reclaiming Narratives" seeks to:
- Correct historical inaccuracies
- Showcase untold success stories
- Celebrate the rich complexity of Black heritage
- Recognise the power of Black culture in all its forms
- Assert the place of Black culture in wider British heritage

1-31 October - Carol P Duhaney - artwork: 'Prince in all his Glory' (Best in Trafford 2018) - Trafford Local Studies, Waterside House M33 7ZF
16 October - An event with Linford Sweeney and distinguished guests. Hear about the heroes as change makers and stories of our living legends. Venue: Limelight Health & Wellbeing Centre, Old Trafford M16 9NW. Food provided. Also, an opportunity for organisations to put up stalls.
19 October, 10am - 4.00pm, Manchester Museum, Oxford Road, Manchester M13 9PL - Children & Authors Literary Fanfare. Celebrating black children's authors and African culture, featuring storytelling, illustration workshops, spice workshops, music workshops, African artefacts workshops and more! Featuring authors: Carrol May Nelson, Sandra Smith, Patti Sloley, Faye Akpalu, Oghomwen Adeyinka-Edwards, Sade Fadipe. To register: calfe2024manchester.eventbrite.co.uk
18 July 2024 - Nelson Mandela International Day. In recognition of his birthday. The theme for this year is: 'Combating poverty and inequality is now in our hands'.
We had a wonderful 'Carol P Duhaney Arts Award Ceremony on Friday 27 September 2024 at Flixton House, Manchester. The ceremony was supported by Arawak Walton Housing Association - thank you for also attending the event.

- Reading skills for children - 1 in 4 children in England can not read well by the age of 11. One-to-one or group sessions.
- Reading skills for adults - 1 in 6 adults struggle to read. One-to-one or group sessions.
- Art & History presentations, creative activities and workshops.
- Discussion groups - covering a wide range of thought-provoking subjects.
